You probably think that you are looking at is a donut and french fries....and while that would be an exciting combo...what you are really looking at is a donut cheesburger........(wait for it).........with BACON! Everything is better with bacon my friends.
I actually plan out our weekly meals in hopes of including bacon in as much as possible.
I am kidding. Don't worry.
Or am I?
Anyways....here's a closer look. Yes, my friends. This is a glazed donut, cheesburger, bacon,
bbq burger with french fries that was so devine Chris and I could have each ate 3.
Except for the wind...it was a delish lunch. Cole had his signature staple of a cheesburger plain (just cheese and meat) and because we were at the Eastern Idaho State Fair he had 7 Up.
It's a ONCE in a year thing and we had to rush rush rush because Cole had his first scout pack meeting at 6:30 at Holy Rosary.....so we only had 3 hours to get everything in. I absolutely love the fair. And after I married into Chris' family and learned about how the "fair is really done" (Thanks Bob!) it's one of the best times of our year.
So here is Carter in his stroller. He and I shared the donut burger and fries. He was also a big fan.
So besides the food that is served the next best part is seeing all the animals. Cole was a wee bit concerned about the animals and we assured him that only the most well behaved animals may come to the fair and the animals are on their best behavior for the entire week.
I LOVE the cow barn. The cows are so pretty and so clean and fluffy. I bet after the fair is over the cows are disapointed to go home and get dirty. All the animals look so happy.
I think these were yearlings. They were so pretty.
Carter was pretty excited but he did not want to ride in his stroller. I think he was just a little afraid because he was sitting so low. As soon as Chris started carrying him he was so happy. I'm sure it's a wee bit scary looking up and just seeing big cow bums.
A friendly little goat. He was so cute.
So mini horses.
Some super big animals. A HUGE horse that was pretty sweet and then some really really big bulls. They were HUGE. HUGE.
This was a contest for dogs and they were jumping in the water. It was SO funny. They were mostly yellow labs and they could jump so far. We had fun.
Ah...yes...and the carnival part.
Cole was so excited to ride some rides. Carter is too little so he had to stay in the stroller. He was so sad so next year he can ride. He's a few inches short!
This fast talking guy here.....worked Chris out of $20. It was our last $20 bill and that $$$ we had for the fair that was reserved for cotton candy and chocolate bacon. Here is Chris frantically looking for another $10 to pay this guy.....they talk really fast and before you know it you've agreed to 7 more darts for $10. AHHHHHH!
This was pretty fun. Some of the Neverland rides from Micheal Jackson's carnival were there. It was really funny.
