Lucky Lu's Leprechaun Cafe

We had some silly leprechaun's visit our house on St. Patrick's Day. They hid gold coins all over the house and made quite a mess. Cole followed the shamrock trail all the way to the front door where they must have made their escape. Eventhough Cole was up at 5 am on "leprechaun watch"....they still snuck in and out without getting caught in a trap. Until next year.....

We celebrated one of our favorite holidays in Lucky Lu's Leprechaun Cafe.

Everyone had their party hats (and hair!) on!

The menu included Leprechaun Fizz's to drink and Corned Beef and Cabbage. Classic Irish.

The silly leprechaun's did leave the boys Baby Pillow Pet's this year.
Leprechaun's aren't all bad....just silly!

The Aluminum Show

We had a show come into our theater and they were from Israel. It was pretty dramatic leading up to the show because they tried to cancel on us. The caravan of performers got to Donner's Pass and turned around and headed to Oregon. So we in Idaho Falls had 1,000 school kids who were very disapointed when the matinee cancelled. They did finally turn around and come back to Idaho to fulfill their contract. Basically what we found out was they didn't want to put chains on their new buses because the buses cost alot of money. Also, did I mention they were from ISRAEL. So we had a language barrier and were working back and forth with the agent in NYC. All the drama was worth it though in the end. The show was awesome. Prior to the show in the theater I hosted a art workshop for children and I had over 100 kids show up. Luckily, I had my little sister Whitney with me and she helped me facilitate the workshop. She is my partner in crime!

This is Cole's artwork. We made stained-glass windows and aluminum sculptures.

These are huge foil pillows that were thrown into the audience and we bopped them around.

Here's some of the set.

Afterwards the theater was a mess!

Cole was collecting as much as he could.

Cole is a Super Star Artist

Cole's artwork is on display at the Willard Arts Center. Here he has created the Golden Gate Bridge in watercolor and marker. The 1st Grade from Holy Rosary is exhibiting their work in the Blake G. Hall Community Gallery at the Arts Center I work for.

Proud? Yes, ma'am!

Cole's New Holy Card

Thank you Grandma LeeAnn and Grandpa Gil. Cole is sooo happy. He keeps his Holy Cards on his dresser and has quite a collection so far of 4 cards.

Cole describes this card being: "Mary and the kids". It's actually the Lady of Fatima.
Somewhere the connections will be made in his head.....

Tuptakes and Pine Wood Derby Cars

The Pine Wood Derby project for Scouts was a few weeks ago and I had an artist friend would was very happy to help us cut the car out. Chris and Cole drew the design on the wood and then we took it over to the workshop to be cut.

Cole won 3rd price and the prize "Best Detail". He was so happy.

We have a new obsession at our house and they begin with Cup and end with Cake.

Or as Carter would say "Tuptakes"
