A Christmas Wish

Cole have been very upset that he does not have pj's that zip up the front with "footies"...well a Christmas wish came true this year for him...Grandma Trudy gave him a full length pair of PJ's and it was all we could do to get him to take them off and put on proper clothing for Christmas dinner.

P.s. this was the second pair of PJ's he wore Christmas day. Pair #1 were from Santa. We really like PJ's here at our house....

P.s. As much as I LOVE Christmas...Chris and I were so ready to take down the decorations so today was a wonderful day of organizing and cleaning. The house is back to normal and the tree is down. Our house feels like it is two times as big and I'm not longer chasing Carter around making sure he's not eating pine needles. It's a win win for everyone.

A Christmas Story-Smith Style

Here are the little Smith boys Christmas morning....

Cole woke up before Carter and was busy checking out the presents....

Here I am....sorry...no makeup....plus Cole was up the first time at 3 a.m. and then finally went back to bed and got up at 6:30 a.m.  (now you all know what I look at 6 a.m.) it doesn't get any more "real" than that....

Chris opening his new Air Jordan Retro shoes from Me, Cole, and Carter...these are very rare and special...he was over the moon excited....

Cole and Grandpa Delbert arm wrestling

Carter with Whitney (it's a neck pillow he's wearing)

Cole with his UltraMan characters from Grandpa Coke and Grandma Tamara...Cole was very very happy and wondered..."how do they know I'm nuts about UltraMan?"

I'll post more pictures we are heading to Kathy's tonight for more food and more presents.

Ah...there are times...I look around my house...and I can't believe this is my life...2 beautiful kids...one great husband...that is so much fun to be around....and a pink vintage santa figure on my dining room. So here are some pics from the last few weeks. I'll try to post more regularly... I've just needed to wrap up the holiday shopping and shipping. Thank goodness for Flat Rate shipping via USPS. I love the guys in grey at the Post Office.

Our little angel...

So guess who was in the Principal's office today when I arrived promptly at 3:15 at Snake River Montessori....my little dark brown eyed precious angel Cole.....

during recess he had successfully knocked down 2 snowmen his friends had carefully built....and was put in time out as a result of that....and from the bench he was sitting on he sent snowballs flying at the other children who were attempting to knock down the igloo he had built prior to the knocking over of the snowmen...and hit Sawyer square in the face...knocking his glasses off...

reminds me of a time when Chris knocked over his neighbor's "magical" snowman with his brothers....he showed up with balloons and a big apology...at his Mom's insistence....

what is it with the Smith boys and snowmen...seriously?

The Nutcracker and some holiday photos

The Nutcracker was Friday and Saturday night at the Colonial Theater. My mom, Whitney, Cole and I dressed up and attended the ballet. Cole fell asleep right after intermission and then I carried him out of the theater. He was so very tired from a long week...but he did enjoy the portions that he was awake for. This is my little sister (who's not so little any more...she's really growing up fast) and Cole in her room.

In the theater waiting for the ballet to begin.

We scheduled some family photos and arrived a little early so we ended up walking around the mall for a while in our matching sweaters. It was so fun. The weather here has been very very cold so Carter was bundled up and loved the blanket wrapped around his legs. After we were inside in the warm mall Chris tried to remove the blanket and Carter instantly was in tears...so he enjoys being cuddled up very much. I'm telling you this kid needs a Snuggie. A Snuggie is on my Christmas list this year.....

This is Chris and Cole waiting to leave for the mall. It's a tradition...we must have Cinnamon Glazed Almonds. We bought a full pound and they were even warm.

So finally they were ready for us to have our photos done. Here are the results..... not too shabby for Jc Penny. Every photographer's studio I tried in town were either taking December off (which is crazy...) or were only doing outside shoots (which is crazy with a baby and 10 degree weather) so we opted for Jc Penny and I arrived with all the coupons from the paper...and we saved a bunch of money...and got a pretty good assortment of photos. If any of you would like a specific photo...email me....I ordered a bunch and plan on sharing the photos with family...but if you want duplicates or whatnot just let me know. I can order duplicates for a very reasonable price.

Enjoy.

Today we did some Christmas shopping and we were glad to find sleds at Target. Last year we waited too long and the sleds were all gone....so Cole and Carter tested it out tonight before bedtime.

Holiday fun is everywhere

These took forever to make....but were good.

Chris attempting to wrangle our Christmas tree.

Decorating...

We have 5 Christmas trees up in the house. Here's the smaller tree in Cole's room. It serves as his "night light" now.

This is Cole in the bath....notice the cute little nose....both boys have cute button noses.

Cole the Red Nosed Boy

My girlfriends, Brandi and Saige brought their little girls over.....Carter is so much bigger than these two little darlings. We had fun...it was babypalooza!
