Cole's Movie

I meant to post this sooner.

Here's the last 5 years (briefly) with Cole.

I couldn't imagine a better life! Snuggle in it's 10 minutes long! (sorry...there's no way I could make it any shorter...that's only 2 minutes per year!)

OUR WEEK

Proof that Cole thinks he's part of the Village People. He put on this fancy number last week and raced around the house in just the black leather vest and Transformer underwear. This week we went apple picking with Cole's class again. We did this last year too! Here are the pictures from the class apple picking.

Here's Carter watching all the fun.

Cole was very excited!
Halfway through all the kids took a break to eat a healthy snack.
Then Cole found a wheel-barrow. He loved it. We are going to have to get one for him.

Then the class had a photo all together.

So...because we had so many apples Cole asked me if we could make an apple pie. So we made one together!
Here we are making the pie crust.
Here is 3 lbs of apples picked from the trees.

Yummy!
In the oven.
Here's the finished pie!

Cole and Chris playing "Jenga" Cole had so much fun!

And a mustache update.....
Handle bars....
This is Uncle Rico.
Happy Uncle Rico
Semi-intoxicated Uncle Rico?

Just kidding! But still very funny!

PARTY LIKE AN ANIMAL!

Here are pictures from the party at the zoo. This here is the birthday bunch....all boys! A few girls showed up...
Cole posing with the Yak!

Carter has a new trick with his nose...here he is doing it...
The party was all about the cake. The kids were just nuts about the cake...most of them had 2 pieces. I knew the parents were going to shoot me for all the sugar they ingested at 11 am...but what do you do? I didn't want to kill the party vibe!
Chris and I trying to calm the chaos!
Posing with the big penguin and animal handler who had a pet ferret. I requested a monkey but I guess they don't allow them out of their cages...they throw poop!

Singing here...

The party bunch...Grama Kathy (Chris' mom) Grama LeeAnn (Chris' grandma) Trudy (my mom) and Whitney (my little sister...she's so cuuuuuute!)
Handing out the cake. I didn't realize how much kids loooooove cake.

I was shocked Cole fed a goat. He's been terrified to do this. He did it though with some help from Dad.
They were playing here.

And then we raced from the party to soccer. Cole took a quick nap in the car and was pretty tired but he still managed to score 3 goals. We were so proud of him and I think he was a bit surprised he figured out how to shoot the ball into the goal. He's a very fast runner and the games are fun to watch. I'm glad he's enjoying himself.

Cole just kicked the ball into the goal here! Then he ran full speed back to us and nearly tackled me out of my chair!

All in all it was a great weekend. Chris' grandparents drove in from Butte, MT to party with us and that was very exciting and so great to see them again. I am glad everything went smoothly and we accomplished everything we wanted.

This week we are working on getting the new flooring installed and the carpet in Carter's room re-stretched. I will post photos of the progress.

COLE'S BIRTHDAY

Here is Cole on his 5th birthday. He is opening up a present from Aunt Robin and Aunt Anne, Uncle Andy, and Justin.

It's Where the Wild Things Are and he now has a "Wild Thing"

He's so excited here!
He also got a 3$ gift card from Toys R Us courtesy of Jeoffery! Whoa! He was so excited! (Jeoffrey is the giraffe in all the Toys R Us commercials...)

Here's the party! We had a great time!!

Pinata time. Chris almost took a hit in the knees!
Carter pretending he is a "big boy!"

Chris and I gave Cole a new Raleigh bike. It's a bike he will use for a few years we hope! So the boys went out on a bike ride. We need to get a little carrier for Carter and then we can go as a family.

Back to the party!
This was after everyone had left and we were reading bed time stories...of course we read Where the Wild Things Are with the character. This is Cole's new favorite story among his favorite Dr. Seuss books. Carter was crawling around and knocked over Cole's toy hamper and then crawled inside!

Here he is laying on the toys...trying to find one...

I snatched a birthday hug and kiss.Cole then insists on sleeping with all his new toys. Among the favorites are Ultra Man from Japan. Grandpa Bob actually ordered it FROM Japan so all the packaging was in Japanese. Very cool! The 2 Japanese monsters are sleeping next to Ultra Man too.

Tomorrow is our party at the zoo and then a soccer game! I am loving life! Chris is too!
