COLE'S FAMILY

Mom-Cole-Carter-Dad

A few months ago Cole started drawing pictures of his family. He drew a few pictures of Carter in a blanket and drew some pictures of mom and dad. The pictures he drew of me...were HUGE...I was a giant standing next to Chris. It was hilarious!

Since then he's been "practicing" and here's the latest from him. Carter sure has big eyeballs!

CUTEST KID EVER...

Cole is the happiest 4 year old I have ever met (I'm not biased at all!)

Last week we had some warmer weather and Cole was very anxious to play outside. He had a picnic and played with his tractor. After a little bit he even asked if we could set up his swimming pool. It wasn't quite that warm! I am so excited for this summer. We are going to plant a big garden so we can have fresh veggies all summer long. Cole has already started a long list of what he wants to plant. He's quite the helper.

Chris and I are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. We have been so busy. I've wrapped up quite a few projects this week so I'm feeling much more relaxed. I hope I have a break for a little while at least! Tonight is the Ag Hall of Fame. It's my third year putting together the presentation for the Hall of Famers. It will be a long night. The presentation goes for 3 hours! Carter attended a few of the planning meetings with me...we had a few nice lunches with around 20 old farmers from SE Idaho. He was a good baby of course! I can take him anywhere. He is so good and content!

Carter is trying desperately to crawl. He can somewhat pull himself up on his knees but he just rocks back and forth and then lies back down. I'm sure it won't be long and he'll be off....then I'm going to be in big trouble!

Below are more pictures of Cole playing outside with his John Deere tractor. My brothers, Frank and David and Mom and step-dad Drew gave the tractor to him for his
3rd birthday. If we let him he would sleep with it. He also has to wear his John Deere sweatshirt from Uncle Frank and Jamie when he drives it around. He loves to scoop up sand and cruise around the yard with it and then bring it back and dump it out.

and yes....I have pink water sprinklers....

CHASING LITTLE GREEN GUYS

The back story on this video is quite hilarious! On St. Patrick's Day Cole's school was ransacked by a bunch of leprechauns. They put everything on the floor and made a "horrible mess" according to Cole. They also walked on the desks with their tiny feet and left foot prints behind. After I picked up Cole from school he spent most of the day and night looking for the little green guys. That night we went to a family restaurant for St. Paddy's Day celebrations and Cole had mac and cheese and spent the entire time looking out for leprechauns. Chris had a WONDERFUL St. Paddy's Day. The restaurant had special Irish red ale on tap...it was called Lifter Kilt Red Lager (or something) and we made it there for happy hour....Chris had a good time. I think that is a funny name for a beer. It's a little naughty too! Lifter...Kilt!....

So enjoy the vidoe. Cole is totally a cutie and Carter is really coming into his own. He likes to be in the mix with everything. He just laughs and giggles at Cole all the time.

ST PATRICK'S DAY AND CATCHING UP

Phew! It's been mildly crazy around our house. Crazy in a good way...but we have been all over the place. I have some photos to share from St. Patrick's Day and Cole's book fair at Barnes and Noble. Cole and his classmates had a small program at Barnes and Noble where they sang and then acted out a few stories. Unfortunately there were a bunch of parents there and we ended up in the Cafe' so I didn't get any great photos. Cole's favorite songs include "cha cha cha!". I tried to video it but of course it didn't turn out.....

....St Patty day fun!

FLASH DANCE

My step-brother (Tamara's son, Chris) was married Saturday night in Pocatello. We of course never want to miss a good party so we loaded the kids up in our Sunday Best and headed down!

 1st stop in Pocatello......

Then off to the wedding. Cole was a maniac on the dance floor! Good Grief! We had so much fun!

My awesome Dad and Tamara. Dad was Flash Dance on the dance floor! He ripped it up! I never knew he had so many "skills!"

....and the party's over! Until next time.....

MY GRANDMAMA

My Fabulous Aunt Anne gave me a cd a while ago with some pictures of my grandparents on it. I was organizing my photos and came across it again. I just had to post a few photos of them. My Grandmama passed away two Octobers ago and I miss her quite a bit. I am glad to have some really great pictures of her to remember her by. She was quite an amazing woman and a true inspiration for me.

CATCHING UP

We have been on the go go go it seems. So here are some pics from the last week and a 1/2. We took a day trip to Salt Lake City last week and the kids were very good. Cole was very excited to take a road trip and Carter mostly slept the whole way. Carter is now big enough to ride in the front of his stroller and he enjoyed sitting up and watching the world very much!

Keeping in tradition....we found a new brewery to try out. Here we are at Red Rock in SLC. I had french toast and sausage and Chris had a mushroom sandwich and fries! Cole had pizza. It was great. The best of all worlds!

Carter is close to sitting up by himself. He also has three more teeth coming in. He has his right eye tooth  and two bottom teeth. This morning we noticed his two top teeth are coming in and the left eye tooth. Good grief! What a cutie!!!

We got Cole some new pajamas while in SLC and he put everything on at once. So he's wearing both tee shirts, the pants, and the shorts........he's pretty cute. Carter just had cereal and both kids are about to go to bed for the night.
